Martine Aubry, the Socialist candidate for the presidential primary said in an interview published Sunday in the JDD how it intends to reduce debt, boost growth and employment act for young people.
"Growth is at 0%, unemployment is rising, the trade deficit is abysmal in a very high debt. Of course there's crisis, but as the Court of Auditors has shown, the two thirds of the deficits are due to the policy of Mr. Sarkozy. The results are bad because the policy is wrong. We must change, "she said in the introduction.
"France, says she suffers from a triple deficit, fiscal deficit, lack of employment, lack of competitiveness. Addressing one without the other two, is a dead end. (. ..) I suggest three immediate steps: to reduce debt, eliminate 10 billion in tax loopholes created on 70 billion since 2002 in parallel, to boost growth, reduce to 20% tax on companies that reinvest, including SMEs and up to 40% for those who prefer dividends, finally, to finance a plan of action for youth employment by removing subsidies absurd overtime that block the hiring in a country suffering from unemployment " .
She also wants the creation of a European tax on financial transactions of 0.05%, "this will limit speculation and provide 200 billion euros to cut debt and finance a portion of future investments," explains she said.
Invited by the JDD to define themselves in relation to François Hollande, also a candidate for the primary, she answers "We're both socialists. Our courses are not identical, our temperaments are different. I display my priorities clear, paths to achieve them and also a method of listening, debate, decide together. That's what I did in PS for three years, I've done with our partners from the left, what I did with the European Socialists. "
